Removal from the British Army

Because of his convictions, the Pensions Dept. in London, on 5th August 1932, decided to remove William from the Army, effective 17th September 1931, and it notified the Repat. Dept. in Perth of its decision.

The Army Council was directed to inform William of the ramifications of his removal from the British Army by the Defence Liaison of the Aust. Govt. in the Strand, London.

But before his removal from the army could take place, King George V, had to give his assent to the removal recommended by the War Office.
